Our Mission

Our mission is to honor each child's natural development by providing a peaceful, child-centered Montessori environment where curiosity is respected, joy is essential, and children grow into confident, capable, and caring members of a global community.

Our community is rooted in values of independence, empathy, compassion, and respect, with the goal of contributing to a more peaceful and prosperous world for all.

Program

Our program provides a beautiful and secure learning environment that extends from our onsite play area to organic garden to neighboring park, which we explore during field trips. We achieve our goals through a transparent partnership with families, a thoughtfully designed curriculum, and a carefully prepared learning environment. We keep families involved and informed, celebrate their cultures, and work together to support each child’s growth. Meanwhile, our inviting, well-organized environment and hands on materials spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and adapt to each child’s interests and abilities.

Nurturing Environment

Our school offers a warm, family-friendly environment with a safe, shaded backyard, an organic garden, sandbox, and open-ended play areas full of enriching toys. We regularly explore the outdoors, from walks around the neighborhood and enjoy close connections with friendly neighbors who provide unique experiences like visiting a koi pond. We understand the importance of finding the right fit and feel privileged to support your child’s early learning journey.

A Day at Garden of Joy

Our daily schedule is designed to provide a balanced mix of learning, play, and exploration, helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The timetable is just an example of a day in a week to give a glimpse of how our day flows. Our days are filled with engaging, hands-on experiences and opportunities for creativity and discovery.

Our children participate in weekly physical education activities at the roundabout near our school and enjoy Nature Walks once or twice each month. In our garden, children dig, plant seeds, pull weeds, and care for living things. We also organize field trips to a local park nearly every two months, providing children with rich opportunities for exploration and community connection.

Our school takes a break on all U.S. federal holidays, along with summer and winter breaks and will resume according to the academic calendar.

Teacher Parent Collaboration

We work closely with families as partners in supporting each child’s happy and healthy growth. Through regular communication, field trips that extend learning beyond the classroom, and opportunities to share their cultures and traditions, families play an active role in our school community, helping make learning even more meaningful and connected.

We host twice yearly Parent Teacher Conferences to check in with our families and provide valuable information about student progress. While continuing to encourage open communication throughout the year.
